When We Took a Different Road

We’ve tried so hard to walk together on this road

Undip Kirim Mahasiswa ke Harvard National Model UN (HNMUN) 2010

Undip akan berpartisipasi dalam Harvard National Model United Nations 2010 di Harvard University, Boston, AS. Di sana, mahasiswa dari berbagai lembaga pendidikan dari seluruh dunia bertemu dan mendiskusikan berbagai problematika dan tantangan besar, mulai dari perdamaian international, ekonomi, sosial, dan HAM.

Delegasi Undip akan berada di Boston mulai 9-19 Februari 2010. Mereka berjumlah 15 mahasiswa, yakni Buna Rizal Rachman, Nadya Victoryka, Acho Agripha dari Fakultas Teknik, Rizky Yulianisa, Restha Adi Pradipta (Fakultas Ekonomi), Satrio Adi Pratama, Anindya Nastiti (Fakultas Hukum), Narottama Tunjung, M Rizki Febrianto (Fakultas Kedokteran), Ary Adiati (FISIP), Achmat Qomarrudin, Pratama Yoga Nugroho, M Ardhy Muzaky, Dini Hajjarahmah, dan Cresti Eka Fitriana (Fakultas Ilmu Budaya).

Di Harvard National Model United Nations 2010 tersebut delegasi Undip akan mempresentasikan budaya dan profil negara Paraguay serta mengkaji dan mendiskusikan tentang problematika yang dihadapi negara itu. Komitmen Menurut Humas Undip, Agus Naryoso, pengiriman delegasi ke ajang itu merupakan bentuk dan komitmen Undip menjadi bagian dari universitas terbaik di dunia yang senantiasa dituntut untuk berpatisipasi aktif dan bekerja sama dengan berbagai institusi pendidikan dunia dalam mengatasi berbagai masalah utama dunia. Buna Rizal Rahcman selaku ketua delegasi menambahkan, setiap delegasi akan mengikuti enam sesi. Antara lain identifikasi masalah, debat, dan brain storming.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Pengembangan dan Kerja Sama, Muhammad Nur, menegaskan partisipasi Undip dalam kegiatan itu adalah bagian dari optimalisasi keberadaan International Office Undip. “Para delegasi yang dikirim selain akan memberikan pemikiran kritis tentang penanganan persoalan dunia, juga akan membantu memperkenalkan Undip ke mahasiswa asing, sehingga menambah peluang mahasiswa asing belajar di Undip.”

Harvard National Model United Nation 2010 adalah ajang prestisius yang keberadaanya diakui secara resmi dan terafiliasi dalam kegiatan formal PBB setiap tahunnya. Kegiatan didesain untuk membangun hubungan internasional dan mengembangkan kepemimpinan mahasiswa.

Delegasi Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Undip dalam ajang HNMUN 2010 (berjas hitam) berpose dengan dekan dan para pembantu dekan setelah berpamitan dengan mereka.
